Maureen Hellewell

Maureen was a resident of Colliers Wood for 45 years, and one of the 12 intrepid souls who came along to our very first rehearsal - you can spot her on the history page. She was also a fixture at all our social events, immaculately turned-out and often sporting her trademark Harrods bag. Many tears were shed when we learned of her death, and about 25 choir members sang Dona Nobis Pacem for her at a packed Lambeth Crematorium on a beautiful Spring afternoon. We then drank to happy memories at the Manor pub in Tooting.

Farewell Maureen - you will be sorely missed.
